I think it's sweet when things don't work out and then later on, you realize why they did not. Because it makes you realize that you were so hellbent on settling for things that weren't meant for you, so convinced that almost was enough, so determined to water a garden that never planned on growing for you. And when things fall apart, at first, it may seem like the entire universe is against you. It may seem that it's the end of your world, like a loss you'll never recover from. And then one random day, it finally dawns on you that it was okay for you to go through all that, because that loss led you to something or someone who nourishes your soul, someone who cares far more about you than anyone else. I think there's something so beautiful about realizing that rejection was protection, that unanswered prayers were mercy in disguise. You start to see how desperate you were to make something fit that never aligned with your soul. It's sweet because you understand that you weren't losing anything real. You were losing an illusion. And illusions feel heavy while you're holding them, but once they shatter, you can finally breathe.
Others want to hear from you, so why not share your thoughts ☁️
