Stop seeing only the good in people, start seeing the truth instead, fully and without edits. A lot will change around you, and not in a subtle, polite, easy-to-ignore kind of way. A lot of human and emotional clutter will quietly clear itself out without you forcing anything. You'll feel lighter, like you accidentally dropped a fere emotional kilos overnight without trying. Turns out clarity burns more weight than denial ever could, and it doesn't come back either. Trust me, there's nothing noble about ignoring reality just to continue being "nice" to everyone. It's not kindness at that point, it's just very committed and slightly embarrassing self-sabotage. Seeing good where there is none isn't optimism, it's full-blown creative writing with no editor. And once you stop doing that, life gets simpler, and people get very accurately sorted.
