Vedic Jyotish is divided into three branches:
Siddhanta – This teaches us about the movement of planets, their positions in the sky, and how cosmic time works. It reconnects us with the rhythm of the universe.
Samhita – This branch is about nature and collective events.
It helps us understand things like floods, earthquakes, climate changes, wars, and even signs in nature. Texts like Brihat Samhita and Narada Samhita teach how to read the Sun’s color, clouds, wind, animals, and earth itself. This is where we truly learn to “read nature.”
Hora – This is personal astrology. It is used for individual life—marriage, health, career, relationships, property, and life direction.
To truly re-learn nature in the ancient way, a Jyotishi must understand all three.
Siddhanta connects us to the sky,
Samhita connects us to nature,
Hora connects us to human life.
When these three come together, we don’t just predict—we begin to listen to nature again.
