Taylor Gordon, better known under the stage name The Pocket Queen, is an American musician, music producer, and artist. Her career gained prominence after several drumming videos and covers achieved viral success; garnering her millions of views on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.Born in New Orleans Louisiana, Taylor showed interest in music at a very young age. Her parents bought her first drum set at the age of 3. She started playing in her local church band at the age of 6. After relocating to Dallas Texas at the age of 14, She joined the Cedar Hill High School Marching Band where she won several awards for her musicianship.
Gordon attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts on a presidential scholarship. She graduated in 2011 receiving a bachelors degree in Professional Music; then relocated Los Angeles, California in 2013.
Since 2008, she has performed with artist such as Musiq Soulchild, Beyonce, Adam Lambert, Fifth Harmony, Yuna, Daya. Her televised performance appearances include, The Ellen Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, American Idol, Good Morning America, Live with Kelly and Ryan, and a featured week long guest on Late Night with Seth Myers.Gordon has produced, and co-produced songs for artists such as Chris Brown, Trevor Jackson, Luke James, Jacob Latimore, Jennifer Hudson, Grace Gibson, and Kehlani (Grammy Nominated).In 2021, Taylor independently self produced released her debut single under her artist name The Pocket Queen entitled "We Came To Move" (feat. Ryck Jane), which samples the intro of "I Didn't Know What Time it Was" by Cecile McLorin Salvant. It was immediately followed by the release her debut EP Groove Theory, Volume 1.
