In Western Christianity, The Baptism of the Lord, also known as The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, or Theophany, is the feast day commemorating the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River by John the Baptist, as described in three of the canonical gospels - those of Matthew, Mark and Luke.

This day is traditionally observed as a Feast, which includes reciting the Gloria.
