Neptune at Opposition

[object Object]

In Science, Neptune at Opposition, which is when Neptune will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long, occurs when the planet is at its closest approach to Earth and has its face fully illuminated by the Sun.

This event usually is visible in the constellation Aquarius, where a blue-ish dot - Neptune - can be seen with a telescope or binoculars. It may require you to find a dark location away from city lights, and let your eyes adjust to the darkness for ~20 minutes.
