Mars at Opposition

[object Object]

In Science, Mars at Opposition, which is when the red planet will be at its closest to the Earth and will be brighter than any other time of the year, is considered to be spiritually significant in many traditions that take note of the movements of the stars.

This event usually is visible on the eastern horizon, where you will see a reddish-orange star-like object. That's Mars! You may have to find a dark location away from city lights, and let your eyes adjust to the darkness for ~20 minutes.
