In Science, Jupiter at Opposition, which is when Jupiter will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long, is also when the giant planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun.

This event usually occurs in the southern sky, and may require you to use a telescope or binoculars, find a dark location away from city lights, and let your eyes adjust to the darkness for ~20 minutes.
