In Judaism, Pesach II, also known as the second night of Passover, is part of an annual weeklong festival commemorating the emancipation of Jewish peoples from slavery.

It is also the day that Jews begin the practice of the Counting of the Omer, a nightly reminder of the approach of the holiday of Shavuot 50 days hence.

Since Shavuot marks the day the Torah was revealed to Moses and the Israelites at Mount Sinai, Jews celebrate its connection to Passover, as the emancipation of the Jewish people during Passover is what enabled them to receive the Torah and become a united people 50 days later.
