In Islam, Laylat al-Qadr, also called the "Night of Destiny", is the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
It is believed that acts of spiritual practice done on this night are immensely powerful, equaling the value of an entire lifetime's worth of spiritual devotion.
Laylat al-Qadr falls on one of the last odd-numbered nights in the Islamic month of Ramadan, and is most commonly observed on 27th of that month.
