Howard Morgan

Howard Morgan is the Chair and General Partner of B Capital, based in the firm’s New York office. He is considered one of the pioneers of early-stage investing, having co-founded First Round Capital alongside Josh Kopelman, which was the first professional seed stage fund. Prior to First Round, Howard co-founded Idealab and Renaissance Technologies where he also served as President.

A strong focus of Howard’s career has been to educate and nurture the next generation so they can accomplish their dreams. Prior to moving into the business of technology, Howard served as a professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and the Moore School of Electrical Engineering, and also taught at Cornell University. He is currently an Executive Fellow at UC Berkeley.

Howard earned his PhD in Operations Research from Cornell University, and a BS in Physics from City College of the City University of New York.

One of the world’s foremost experts on Buddhism and eastern spiritual traditions, Professor Robert Thurman is a Professor Emeritus of Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies at Columbia University and the Co-founder and President of Tibet House in New York.He was ordained by the Dalai Lama in 1965 as the first American Buddhist monk of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and is the first endowed chair in Buddhist Studies in the West.

Major General Brunson's operational assignments have included Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Freedom's Sentinel, and Operation Inherent Resolve.
