In Shem HaM'phorash meditation, meditators use the "72 letter name" of God, or Shem HaM'phorash, which is created by juxtaposing the three successive verses from the Bible located in Exodus 14: 19-21. Each of these verses contains exactly 72 Hebrew letters.

To warm up for Shem HaM'phorash meditation, you should write different combinations of the Hebrew letters from Exodus 14:19-21, reciting them as you write and rolling them quickly around in your mind until you feel like your heart is warm.

This can take a few minutes, but at this point you are believed to be ready to accept God's divine affluence. Once you are warmed up to perform the Shem HaM'phorash meditation, you are ready to recite the traditional combinations of the letters from Exodus 14:19-21.

Each letter is pronounced through one whole breath, while moving the head, slowly, in the direction set by the particular phonetic punctuation given to it in the Hebrew language. Between saying each letter, you should breathe three long breaths, remaining concentrated.

Continue reciting all the letters of Exodus 14:19-21 in this manner - one long breath for each letter, three long breaths of pausing between letters - until you have recited all of the letters in these verses.
