Kavanot is a Jewish meditation practice where the devotee concentrates on the secret meanings of prayer letters and words, sometimes referring to the permutations of the divine name.
It is meant as a spiritual way of attaching yourself to the spiritual world before any action is taken, so that both you and the action you take will be more grounded in God.
To practice Kavanot meditation, simply be mindful before you do any thing, even walking or eating. Reflect on what it is you are to do or even say, taking a few moments to consider it before you actually do it.
This intention gives greater meaning to the thing you are about to do, and acts as a way of exercising the brain and the mind.
