Islam has very specific ethics and guidelines on what humans should and should not eat.

Food that is edible is called "halal", and this generally includes:

* All fruits and vegetables,

* All seafood

* All meat that has been properly blessed and slaughtered, except for pigs, carrion (e.g. vultures), "vermin" (e.g. snakes, scorpions), land predators (e.g. wolves, dogs, cats), birds of prey (e.g. hawks, owls, eagles), and the meat of donkeys or mules.

Of course, make sure you consult your physician before beginning any new diet routine to ensure that it is suitable for you.
