Asma breath meditation
Use your breath to connect with God
Islam & Sufism
Trust in one God, follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, and seek inner peace through prayer, kindness, and connection to the divine.
Asma breath meditation practice involves reciting one of God's 99 names as a way for you to connect to God, using different names to apply to your own ever-changing life situations. The most commonly used name for God in this meditation is "Allah", which means “the God”.
To practice this breath meditation, inhale as you say "Allah" and then exhale while saying "huu", adding an "huu" at the end of "Allah" to coincide the repetation of this name with your own breath.
