Venerate today's saints
Honor a "model Christian"
Eastern Orthodox
A deep, ancient form of Christianity with sacred traditions, icons, and prayers that bring people closer to God and their spiritual community.
In Christian tradition, saints are seen as good models for proper Christian living who have entered heaven and so are in closer proximity to God.
Saints are often honored and venerated on specific days in the Christian calendar. To venerate today's honored saint, you can try:
* Displaying an image of them (which can be a picture, icon or a statue),
* Praying blessings to them,
* Praying for them to intercede before God on your behalf, or
* Reading about their life and deeds
