"Vegan" Fast
Embrace purity and mindfulness through dietary discipline
Eastern Orthodox
A deep, ancient form of Christianity with sacred traditions, icons, and prayers that bring people closer to God and their spiritual community.
In Christian tradition, fasts like this are often seen as an act of devotion to God - a way to treat the human body as a temple that must be kept holy (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).
In this type of fast, from sunrise to sunset you avoid consuming Meat, Fish, Dairy products, and Eggs. Consuming wine and oil are still allowed.
Of course, make sure you consult your physician before beginning any new fasting routine to ensure that it is suitable for you.
