This Daoist breathing exercise uses "Hu" - one of the "Six Healing Sounds" or Liu Zi Jue - to foster calm and wisdom and reinforce the Water element in the body. This exercise is also believed to strengthen the Kidneys and Bladder.

To do it, inhale deeply and slowly through the nose. As you exhale, round your lips and say the "Hu" sound (pronounced as "hoo") softly and gently.
