This exercise is believed to reinforce the Metal element in the body which helps to promote strength and clarity. It is also believed to be particularly beneficial for the Lungs.

To do it, start in a relaxed standing position with you knees slightly bent. Take a large step to your right, gracefully sweeping both arms infront of you to the right. Sway your center of gravity and your arms back to the left, before pushing to the right, pulling towards your chest, and pushing out again. Then repeat this motion to the other side.

While Tai Chi is a low-intensity martial art that can help boost your life force or "Qi", this and other movements are best learned under the guidance of a qualified instructor.
