This Daoist breathing exercise uses "He" - one of the "Six Healing Sounds" or Liu Zi Jue - to foster enthusiasm and joy and strengthen the Fire element in the body. This exercise is also believed to strengthen the Heart.

To do it, inhale deeply and slowly through the nose. As you exhale, open your mouth wide, drop your tongue, and pronounce the "He" sound. The sound is pronounced as "huh" but with the mouth wide open and tongue dropped.
