Mindful breathing or "Anapanasati" is a Buddhist breathing technique that can help you enter into a meditative state, and which is proven to improve lung function, strengthen your immune system, and lower blood pressure and anxiety levels.

Originally taught by the Buddha himself, the key to this breathing meditation is to focus on observing each one of your breaths. On each inhale and exhale, focus on the part of your body where you are most aware of your own breathing. This can be your nostrils, the back of your mouth, your chest, or your belly.
